Ganton Grits its Tee Teeth!
A Wet day in Yorkshire – As Yorkies Clean Up!
The tour returned to one of our stellar venues the Number 8 ranked course in England – Ganton Golf Club on Sunday and although the, weather was one we don’t wish to remember the day was littered with lots of great banter and some flashes of good golf as players struggled to pass 20 points never mind 30.
Sunshine Showers Golf – Xmas Gifts
Sunshine Showers Golf are a new forward thinking golf brand offering lots of products in their ever expanding lineup.
The 1/4 Zip Bonded Fleece and Gilet have been going down a storm on the tour over the past year and now we have these extra products available to buy.
The Optical Pulse V5 Laser Rangefinder has been a huge hit offering a vibrating flagpole lock for ease and quickness, a waterproof design makes this rangefinder one of the best in the current market.
Early Groups took the spoils!
1st group was underway at 09:30 in glorious sunshine but by the time the final group where away at 11:30 dark clouds had arrived in the Ganton Area by a strong cold wind which forced golfers to battle for the scores from the tough white blocks at this prestigious Championship Venue.
All the groups where unfortunately caught in the tough conditions but the early groups certainly had the best of the weather as they managed to complete 2/3’s of the course.
Huge thanks to all the lads from Wath GC and Rob Rhodes for bringing the guys from Chesterfield and although a tough day on the course the guys all love there golf and the support of the tour is much appreciated.

37 points just blitzed today’s field as players struggled to find rhythm!
1 player only managed par or better as WATH GC took over Ganton”
4th Place: Ray Donovan
Ray pipped close pal Allan Doherty by 1 point as his 4 for 3 points on the Par 4 17th was enough to split the pair with Allan originally thinking he had won the duel on the back nine.
Great scoring by all who beat the 30 point mark on what was by far one of the worst days we have ever experience on the tour – possibly only can be compared to Prestatyn in February earlier this year.
3rd Place: Paul Whittaker
Solid golf from Paul on both nines but the impressive 15 points on the back nine in the worst of the conditions was extremely commendable as he also battled to finish on the podium for the 1st time. A great score and taking the money from the 8 lads all making the journey across the Yorkshire border.
2nd Place: John Meagher
John battled on although close pal Adrian Axe couldn’t take no more as he braved the elements as Mechanic Glenn Shiel tried to keep level but John’s golf was top draw as the 9 handicapper from Forest Pines / Woodhall Spa showed his class.
1st Place: Ricky Grimshaw
Ricky playing in his 1st Finch Tour Event comes out on top in an event he thought he had thrown away. Playing in the 1st group Ricky had two blobs on his card but solid golf before and after ensured the Wath GC member came out on top of todays pile.
The tour welcomes all of todays newcomers and our regulars as we move into our busiest period with events coming thick and fast.

Great feedback from Joanne’s after event communications
Joanne has been the integral part of the tour over the past 6 months and improvements are always ongoing but the greatest feedback has been from the players within the winners circle as those on the podium and making a two receive communication the day after the event regarding there prizes – thank you all for the support and there support to Joanne on the event days!
